CLICK Cat Bed
While working in-house at One Fast Cat, I designed and prototyped this cat bed.
The idea is to utilize a
flat
sheet of felt and
snap buttons
to create a
bolstered
cat bed.
Prototyping
During the prototyping phase, I tested various button positions to determine the optimal bolster height and angle, experimented with different numbers of sides for stability and efficiency, and evaluated multiple felt thicknesses and button types.
After testing variations, the production model used 5mm felt and lockable metal buttons to balance aesthetics, proportions, quality, and usability.
